Park Central
Testimonials

“Please pass on to your staff my gratitude for the job that is being done at Park Central. I still try to put into words the depth of the love and concern that flows through the halls of your facilities and I just can’t get words that big put together.

The love Mom experienced was exceptional. She had a lot of friends at Ware and the friendships with the caregivers just made her life better. I learned to appreciate the job being done and I have benefited from being able to walk your halls and reach out to the residents and staff.

You have a great ministry that is carried on by loving and caring people. It is my prayer that God continues to bless Park Central and that its horizons continue to expand.”

“I had delivered communion here through my church several years ago, and always noticed how happy everyone seemed here. When we needed to look for a nursing home, Ware came to mind.

Mom and Dad came here together in August of 2005. After mom died, it was a blessing for dad to stay here. He was well-acquainted with the staff and told us, ‘This is home now.’ Ware became home for him very quickly.

He would have been reclusive at home, and here he is welcomed with open arms and loved. He is involved in things like the men’s breakfast, donut runs, and other activities. He loves to drink coffee and visit with people as they come and go through the lobby.

Our family raises and trains dogs, and we think the animals — especially dogs being here — is so unique. Dad loves Charlie, the ‘greeter” in the lobby.”

“We’ve have had a good experiences at Ware. My dad had been here and Mom always said that if she needed to go to a nursing home, this was the only place she wanted to go. We never considered anywhere else.

The caring staff look after her and mom is happy here. Everyone does a great job here. They are all so courteous, friendly and helpful.”
~ Monsignor Joe E. Bixenman, son of Ware Living Center resident, Mary Anne Bixenman

“On behalf of Hattie Jo’s family, we want to express our appreciation to the nurses and staff at Ware. At all times and in all situations, Mother was treated with kindness, care, and love. The nurses and staff are extensively trained and handled each situation with skill.

Thanks so much for the care your nurses and staff bestowed on Mother. Losing a mother is not easy. Knowing that she had excellent care during her last thirty months takes away a little bit of the sting.

May God continue to bless the entire staff at Ware Living Center.”

“I’m learning constantly about the many services available at Harrington Assisted Living. I can’t personally think of anything that I wish for Mother here that isn’t available. It’s great for her and it’s given us a new lease on life.”
~ Carol Womack, daughter of Harrington Assisted Living resident, Aline McClelland

“It’s like living in a five-star hotel! There’s not enough money to get me to move from this place!”
~ Tiny Sturdevant, Park Place Towers resident

“It’s a faith-based organization, and even though it’s under the umbrella of Baptist Community Services, there are many people who are living here who are not Baptist. I belong to the Christian Church Disciples of  Christ, a fourth-generation member of that church, but there are Methodists, Presbyterians, Church of Christ, Catholic, we have some Jewish people, and we all live together in harmony and respect each other’s faith.

At this time in our lives most people don’t expect to make new friends. But whenever you move into a place like this, you’re hardly in a day until you already know new people. It’s not very long before you have new friends.”

“I got tired of having to cook and clean for myself and take care of everything. It was costing me more every year to hire things done. I figured out exactly what my house cost me every year, including taxes, help, and maintenance. I discovered I could live less expensively here than I could in my own home, even though it was paid for!”
~ Carol Denney, Continental resident

“It’s a great fellowship that we have here, sharing our experiences and sharing stories.  I’ve never been treated nicer or more respectful in my entire life in whatever endeavor I was involved in.”
~ Toby Gilbreath, Park Place Towers resident

“I didn’t think I could afford to live here, then my daughter added up all the expenses of living in my home and it pretty much evened out. This is a wonderful place for our generation.”
~ Marjorie Franks, Park Place Towers resident

“One of the big things I had questions about was the food, because I’m from a family of very good cooks. So I thought, hmmmmm, I probably won’t like it. But the food here is delicious!”
~ Betty Trafton, Park Place Towers resident

“We feel very secure here at Park Place Towers. There’s a security man on duty day and night. We have a physician here on-site. I had just a little infection on my arm, which he treated. The next morning he knocked on my door, stuck his head in and said, ‘I just wanted to check that arm.’ How long has it been since you’ve had a house call from a doctor?”
