Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Park Central

FAQs

What is skilled nursing and rehabilitation?

The Arbors provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation. Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is a short-term Medicare Part A benefit most often provided in a senior care center. Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation provides an intermediate level of care to patients who are not ready to return home after a hospital stay. Services may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy—in addition to 24-hour nursing and regular physician services.

How do I know if I qualify for a Medicare stay at the Arbors?

The following factors qualify you for skilled nursing and rehabilitation:

  • You have to have been in the hospital for at least three consecutive midnights in the past 30 days.
  • Your physician must certify that you need skilled nursing or rehabilitation services on a daily basis.
  • Your condition requires daily skilled services which must be provided on an inpatient basis.
  • Your care in the skilled nursing center is for a related condition that you were treated for in the hospital.

How do I pay for my skilled nursing and rehabilitation stay at The Arbors?

If you have traditional Medicare Part A, the first 20 days of the stay will be covered 100 percent. On day 21, a copayment of $133.50 will apply to the remainder of your stay.  Some secondary insurances may cover the copayment; however, benefits must be verified on an individual basis.

If you have a HMO, PPO, or a Medicare Advantage, benefits and coverage will vary, and must be verified on an individual basis.
